Cross-links in Silicone Silicone rubber is an inorganic polymer, it consists of silicon (Si), oxygen(O), carbon(C) and hydrogen(H). The main chemical chain is silicone and oxygen(-O-Si-O-), so we also call this compound as siloxane.
